Kitties, Kitties, Kitties!

los angeles pet photographyMy neighbor Leslie Young has done a very good deed for an orphaned litter of kittens. She has taken the five of them, all girls, and fostered them for the East Valley Animal Shelter here in Los Angeles, which, incidentally, is where I adopted the Gentlemen House Cats, Kiwi and Mango.

The five are gorgeous... a tortoiseshell, a black kitty, a seal point, an orange tabby and a gray one with a cream paw. I volunteered to photograph them in hope they would find a home when they are ready to be adopted in a few weeks. Leslie literally lives around the corner from me so it was pretty easy to go back and forth when I found I was missing a piece of equipment.

I loved the photos we took for our kitten photography session. I usally don't post all that I love but these are so cute it's hard to resist. I'll try to restrain myself and just pick out a few.

By the way, the photos were shared many times on Facebook and all of these beauties have now been spoken for! Thanks to you, Leslie, for caring!

One more thing I can say abou Leslie... she noticed Pottery Barn Kids was selling a set of plush animal heads for children's walls... a lion, a walrus and a zebra, that were the equivalent of a child's big game hunting trophy starter kit... and she created a petition to the CEO of Pottery Barn Kids and its owner, Williams-Sonoma, to remove them. Pottery Barn Kids contacted her in less than two days to say it had removed the product line from its offerings, Leslie said.

So everyone, one voice does make a difference. And one person certainly made a huge difference in the lives of these tiny, beautiful kittens.
