Your Library, After Hours, and its Hidden Panel

First off, at this moment, I am going to tell you I started a new website for just my composite work. It's The Secret World of Pets and I also own the domains of dogs and cats, too.

Now, I keep pounding you over the head with this, but I call my work the Storytelling Sessions. And because I wanted to dramatize that literally, I created a composite of a library with books with four cats, all doing various things.

I wanted to create an animal coming out of a book. But then things went in a different direction. I found a stack of books, then added the library background, and found a cat who looked as if she would be leafing through a book or holding a book or something. However, the stack of books I had wasn't open. I wasn't finding an old book that looked like the cat could be reading but then I found another stack of old books with an open one on top. Bingo.

I assembled that and because the library had a ladder, I found a cat looking up. Now I am a diehard cat lover but for you non-cat lovers, and I do feel sorry for you, I looked for a dog. But because I didn't shoot these animals specifically for this composite, I had to look in my library to see what worked. Well, a Norwegian Forest cat fit the bill.

At first I thought the door to the library was opening but I realized it was a hidden door. Who doesn't love secret doors? So I found a sweet little kitten who on the very day she was adopted off the streets, I got to photograph her. So she was coming through the hidden door.

And finally, because our Norwegian Forest cat is looking up, I had to have her looking up at something. And so she is looking up at a Savannah. Let me tell you, the whole point of pet photography is to get a pet's attention. But Savannahs are so wild, it was easy to capture one with her back to the camera. Ordinarily it wouldn't be anything an owner would want, but to tell a story, it's perfect.

Now just because I done started another website, doesn't mean you can't get in touch with me here. I have a super easy contact form you can fill out. Let's create something special for you!
